Jennifer Salberg- Executive Director and Founder
Jennifer’s love for performing began at age 5. She saw the Original Broadway Cast perform Cabaret in New York City and was hooked. Her young life was filled with singing, acting, and dancing in her home state of Texas. At age 18, she followed her dream to train and perform in New York City. Once there, she quickly conquered the Great White Way. Shortly after, her two shining stars were born. Jennifer now had a new passion: children. Her life took a turn towards helping those in need.
Over the next ten years her new passion took her to Africa and the Philippines, where she was a part of a large building project for new schools and medical facilities. At home in New York City, Jennifer went door to door with the Vaccines for Children program, ensuring at-risk children the immunizations they desperately need. Understanding that families are in need everywhere, Jennifer has continued serving the community around her. Since her move to Atlanta, she has been active in fund-raising for Locks of Love, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, and the American Cancer Society. She opened Heart to Heart for Kids, a non-profit company which serves the physical and household needs of children and mothers in need. But her love for performing was still alive.
Applause for Kids Performing Arts Studio was founded with the premise that every child deserves the chance to shine. Jennifer desired to continue her out-reach to children. All proceeds received from the Applause For Kids performances and supporters go directly to support the Aidmore Childrenʼs Center. All of the Curtains Up programs are funded by contributions from families, friends, foundations and businesses. With your support, we can continue to help the dreams come true and expand our role as extended family to these wonderful, deserving young ladies. Thank you for your interest and your support.
